Good construction, well made and almost rolled out. Initially there were spring compression problems. Using a little force, I was able to loosen the retaining washer. I found some loctite against the bottom of the retaining screw on the guide rod. This gripped the washer and kept it from moving. I scraped the rest and it works fine now. This rifle is a straight pull Steyr M95 carbine that has been converted to semi-automatic by adding a gas piston under the barrel attached to the bolt frame and lengthening the stock. Glock has produced several different models over the years. in order to help police departments learn and practice the basic functions of rifles. The "T" models were the first versions built that allowed officers to fire non-lethal combat rounds using the same basic platform as the main weapon. The pair pictured is probably the rarest version of any training model. First released in 1996, they were marketed to law enforcement only from the very beginning and didn't catch on at first. The transition to Gen 3 was also only two years later, so a small number were produced. I think a lot of the ones that were made didn't survive the 20 years of police use since then.

I've only seen three of these sold on the open market before - all from a major distributor a few years ago. They were selling for just over $900 each if I remember correctly, but the seller didn't bother to list to maximize value. The collector's market is going pretty fast right now too, so I think one of these would sell for a lot more if put up today.

This pair was purchased directly from another dealer who had them listed on their website as "any old used Glock" and I was lucky enough to come across them. They have serial numbers 1121 and 1125, which indicates they were the first, but I couldn't find the transition point to Gen 3.
