Glock Recoil Spring Upgrade - I wasn't really sold on adding an aftermarket guide rod, but after seeing a good half of it at the range with a Glock 17, I figured it was worth a shot. I ordered a SS guide rod with a 17lb spring for it. My girlfriend likes the way the rifle rotates, and while the weight difference isn't as great as a tungsten guide rod, it did help with the recoil and more comfortable positioning of her sights. This was my first order with the metal pin extended control kit. Shipping was fast and they explained the whole process very well.
Good construction, well made and almost rolled out. Initially there were spring compression problems. Using a little force, I was able to loosen the retaining washer. I found some loctite against the bottom of the retaining screw on the guide rod. This gripped the washer and kept it from moving. I scraped the rest and it works fine now. It can be viewed or notified by customers. I thought it was broken at first.

Very happy, no problem. I noticed that it is not paint coated for different spring weights and has a retaining washer that is not shown in the picture. After seeing this I thought I would weigh it on my digital scale and it weighed 25.6 grams so I took it to work and weighed it on the digital pint and it weighed 25.6 not 28.3 as advertised. I am very pleased though, this part is working flawlessly after several hundred rounds in my gun. I recommend this update.
Pistol Recoil Reduction Spring Rod Dpm Systems For Glock 20 Generation 1 2 3
It doesn't seem to have been fired yet, the only reason for the 4 stars, as mentioned before, was that they finally had a red lock that went into the frame, which I had to grease and work with. A while ago I got a soft-back feeling. It seems to be working fine manually now, but I will try it tomorrow and if it works well, my review will be changed to 5 stars.
Moving up to 20lbs of recoil spring in the .40 S&W G22 eliminates the high-velocity slide and FTFs that occur when light is mounted on a Gen 3 rail. These problems stemmed from the lack of 17 pounds shared with the 9mm G17. It also reduces sensation. Adding weight and stiffness to the stainless guide rod is a nice bonus.
Very well made and seems to be made of good quality materials. Better than the OEM Glock rear spring assembly and an improvement on my own G17 setup.
I gained 17 pounds. "Racing Recoil Spring" for my Glock 17, Gen 4. It was cleaned and oiled and then put into the gun without any problems. Gen 4 requires an "Adapter Ring". When cranking the slide assembly by hand, I felt and heard some grinding/rubbing. I then checked the slide, lower frame housing and barrel and found no issues. The guide had pushed a spring along the rod.
Glock 35 Gen 3 Recoil Reduction Spring Rod By Dpm Systems
I fired over 100 shots (average powder charge). He worked flawlessly. Case release was good, rounding was excellent, and recoil was a little low.
Out of the box my controlled pairs were spot on. Also, while practicing tactical speed, I was able to consistently acquire targets quickly and deliver accurate shots (15 yards).
18 lb. Stainless Steel Competition Guide Rod for 3 G19 Gen... Not only does it ship a day early, it should be on every Glock pistol. I can feel the difference/improvement in the overall balance of the 19 in my arm. Can't wait to run a few rounds through it.
